Making your own mustard to serve with anything from ham to hamburgers is a snap with this recipe courtesy of gramps.
⅓cupgranulated sugar
3Tbspdry mustard powder
2Tbspcornstarch
¼tspturmeric
1large egg, beaten
1cup10% cream
2Tbspvinegar

In the top of a double boiler, mix sugar, mustard powder, cornstarch and turmeric. Whisk in egg, then cream and cook until thickened, whisking continually.

Remove from heat and stir in vinegar.

Pour into small jars and store in refrigerator.
